Seminole

Seminole is ideal for active families with children at home, due to extensive public parks and recreation.

Seminole is the “youngest” municipality in Pinellas County and has a population of just over 18,000 residents. Seminole is only 1.5 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and is halfway between Clearwater to the north and St. Petersburg to the south. Although there are history references to Seminole & the surrounding area as far back as 1528, the city was not incorporated until 1970.  The new Seminole City Center was developed in 2016 on the site of the old Seminole Mall. Now open, this development offers dining, shopping, entertainment and service businesses.

Schools

Seminole and Pinellas County offer a wide range of options for your children’s education.  Click here for more information on Pinellas County Public Schools. The St. Petersburg College Seminole campus opened in 1998 in order to offer education opportunities at the satellite campus.
